#bdaccess (or Born-Digital Access) Bootcamp aims to help archivists and others responsible for born-digital materials create strategies for making items in their collections available to patrons.
This bootcamp was developed in response to a born-digital hack-at-hon held at the 2015 Society of American Archivists Annual Conference in Cleveland, where it became clear that archivists face challenges due to the many technical and ethical limitations associated with born-digital materials. #bdaccess Bootcamp participants have ranged from those not currently able to make materials accessible to those at institutions that have established procedures for making born-digital materials available to patrons.
A writeup of the inaugural #bdaccess Bootcamp can be found here, along with a link to materials used during that workshop.
