Current Legislative News

The FY11 Georgia State Budget includes major cuts to educational and other funding that will effect archives, libraries, and museums. Familiarize yourself with the State Budget here, http://www.opb.state.ga.us/media/12300/state_of_georgia_budget_fy_2011.pdf and contact your local representative today! The budget is long, but it's likely that the Board of Regents section or the Department of Economic Development applies to your institution.

Save Georgia Humanities grants! Governor Sonny Perdue intends to cut all statewide humanities grants starting July 2010! Find out what you can do by visiting the Georgia Humanities Council website at http://www.georgiahumanities.org/announcements/alert.html
