HERA Atlanta Spring Meeting: “May Day: Disaster plans and lessons learned from short and long term recovery”

Please join us for HERA Atlanta’s spring program, “May Day: Disaster plans and lessons learned from short and long term recovery” on May 1 from 2-4 pm at Lyrasis on 1438 West Peachtree Street.

David Moore, Executive Director of the Historic Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, GA, will talk about the disaster plan that was in place for the Historic Oakland Cemetery before the tornado of 2008, what the long term recovery after the tornado looked like, and whether the disaster plan was effective as well as other lessons learned after the recovery.

Following the presentation will be a panel discussion that looks at preparing and revising disaster plans. The program is free and open to all.
