Description: The Spanish-American War of 1898 represents a largely forgotten episode in U.S. history. Using period photography and illustrations, this presentation will explore the conflict, its outcomes, and the effects on U.S. foreign relations even today.

About our guest speaker: Dr. Barnes, a prestigious archaeologist, is an associate professor at Georgia State University. He has worked throughout the U.S. and Caribbean, researching and publishing extensively on colonial and early American archaeology and history.
