Join us for the 2014 Society of Georgia Archivists Annual Meeting
in the Classic City November 6-7, 2014

This year's theme is Plans and Strategies for the Future of Archives! Informative sessions will include subjects such as disaster planning and recovery, local efforts to collect LGBT history, electronic records, management of digitization projects, & training and outreach. There will also be breakout sessions on acquisitions, processing, access, and digital issues!

The Thursday evening reception will take place at the University of Georgia Special Collections building on North Campus. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served during the silent auction and awards ceremony. Afterwards, head out into downtown Athens for dinner at one of its many notable dining establishments.

Annual SGA Auction:

The SGA Scholarship Committee sponsors an annual auction that takes place at the SGA Annual Meeting to raise funds for the four scholarships offered. For more information regarding the auction and the work of the SGA Scholarship Committee, please contact Kim Norman, chair.

The SGA Archives is still looking for photographs of past events and people to add to our archives. If you have photographs you would be willing to donate, please contact Meredith Torre. Digital images, either born-digital or scanned from photographs, are welcome.
