The focus is on methods and issues in identifying, appraising, accessioning, providing reference for, and preserving materials in electronic form. Participants will gain an understanding of the issues associated with materials in digital formats and will be able to provide basic archival and records management administration for these materials. In addition, participants will have a better understanding of where their knowledge and skill needs to be expanded and will learn of resources and current research that will help them meet their needs.The workshop is intended for archivists who have a good understanding of archival principles and techniques, but who need guidance in how to apply those principles to records in electronic form.
